Big Bunch of Christmas Card Night

Thanks to all who participated in the Big Bunch of Christmas Cards night at my home. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback, and am glad that you enjoyed yourselves!!!

If I decide to do this again, I'll be sure to let you know!!

On a 'light'er note, here's an idea for your outdoor Christmas decorating:

Ever adore someones beautifully lighted, landscaped home at Christmas time? Wish you had bushes where you dont? TRY THIS! Get your tomato cages back out, assuming you've already taken care of that chore. Place them where ever you'd like to similate little bushes. Net lights work great here! Just drape them over the cages! This technique also works great to fill in gaps between existing bushes that you may already have. I even use landscape pins to hold the "net" to the ground and my garden velcro tape to attach them to the top of the tomato cage and to connect net lights together.

I admit in the daylight it's not the most pleasant sight, but who's looking in your garden this time of year anyways. At night, when it's time for the light show....it'll look amazing!

Now hurry, before the ground freezes!!!!

What you can do for the troops

Send a card. Visit this website, pick out a card, choose a pre written senitiment, or write one of your own. Put your name and where you're from. Hit send.......It's just that easy. If you've been wondering what you can do for the troops, it really doesn't get any easier than this. You don't even have to "sign up". The longest part was looking at the cute cards designed by kids. Go for it! http://www.letssaythanks.com/Home1280.html

Shopping Fun!!

Interested in some new products and good deals? Head over to the Birch Run Expo Center.

Not only will you find some great deals on stamps, paper, ink, (Oh there's just too much to list), but you'll also find out some information about some interesting products/services. There's companies that will print a book that you make with your own photos. There's lots and lots of incredible options.

You can even sign up with another company to send cards through the internet that you've personalized! The following day your card will be printed (it looks professional) and mailed for you - the old fashioned way (even with a stamp!). You can add your whole address book!

It's only $5 to get in the door! There's even hourly door prizes! ....and an excellent DJ and this is all brought to you by:

Economic Hard Times

Know anyone who's been hit by the economic hard times? I just came across a page on Kmart's web site that is offering to help those in need. There are a couple of requirements that you'll need to meet and if you do, then they are willing to assist for six months. Click the following link or copy and paste into your web browser for all of the details.
